Denis Kucherov and Mahesh Vinayakram come together as a unique interdisciplinary duo, blending movement, rhythm, and live sound into a unified artistic experience. Their collaboration lives at the intersection of body awareness and musical expression, where practice becomes performance and sound becomes a space for transformation. Denis brings a deep sensitivity to movement, breath, and inner attention, while Mahesh weaves intricate layers of voice and percussion rooted in the South Indian classical tradition. Together, they create immersive journeys where rhythm, silence, and motion interact in real time — an evolving dialogue between body and sound. Their work is not just to be observed, but to be experienced, inviting participants into a shared field of presence, exploration, and connection.
Mahesh Vinayakram
Mahesh Vinayakram is a Grammy-nominated vocalist in the Carnatic tradition and the creator of the innovative Karna-tech style — a unique fusion of sacred Indian vocals with technology, beatboxing, Bulgarian choirs, and African percussion.
He is the first Indian singer to be cast in the globally renowned Cirque du Soleil and a recipient of the prestigious UNESCO Millennium Award.
Born into a legendary musical lineage, Mahesh is the son of Padma Bhushan awardee and ghatam maestro Vikku Vinayakram. He was trained from an early age and is a senior disciple of Radha Viswanathan, daughter of the iconic M. S. Subbulakshmi, carrying forward the Semmangudi bani of Carnatic music.
On international stages, he has performed alongside luminaries such as Ustad Zakir Hussain and Talvin Singh. His musical vision transcends boundaries — merging ancient tradition with modern innovation, he brings Indian classical music into a contemporary global context.

Denis Kucherov
Denis Kucherov is a tabla maestro, composer, producer, and co-founder of the international festival Dairafest. With over 20 years of experience, he has performed on renowned stages worldwide — from major world and ethnic music festivals across Europe and Asia to prestigious concert halls in India and UK
Trained in India under masters of the Sabri tradition, Denis has deeply immersed himself in the art of tabla, raga music, and Eastern rhythmic systems. His musical language is a refined balance between ancient rhythmic knowledge and free improvisation, between acoustic purity and modern electronic sound design.
He has collaborated with legendary artists such as Grammy Award-winner Vishwa Mohan Bhatt, Padma Shri Shahid Parvez, and musicians from Turkey, Africa, Cuba, and the Middle East. His performances include festivals such as Sziget (Hungary), Ragasthan (India), WOMAD (Australia), and Ethnoport (Poland).
DAY 1-4
ARRIVAL TO TBILISI AND TRANSFER TO MTSKHETA Settle into your accommodation and enjoy a welcoming dinner. We begin with a soft opening of the retreat, accompanied by a short live music experience. MTSKHETA → KAZBEGI We begin the day exploring the sacred and historical sites of Mtskheta. And after scenic journey takes us into the mountains of Kazbegi. After settling in, we gather for an evening practice and a live music experience. KAZBEGI Two full days in the mountains dedicated to practice, guided walks, and evening musical journeys. No travel - space to slow down, deepen, and fully arrive.
DAY 5-9
KAZBEGI → TBILISI Morning transfer to Tbilisi. Accommodation in the city. In the evening, we attend a concert or cultural event. TBILISI → GURIA Morning departure. Scenic drive. Arrival and accommodation in a coastal or green nature setting. GURIA Immersion in nature, the sea, and local culture. Evening practice and musical sessions. GURIA → TBILISI Return to Tbilisi. Accommodation in the city. Free evening for rest and integration.
